The Tripper river knife is purpose-built for canoe trippers, backcountry explorers, and anyone needing a versatile, reliable tool for multi-day adventures. Designed for both land and water scenarios, this knife is equally adept at camp chores and rescue operations. Whether you're navigating remote waterways or setting up camp, The Tripper is your essential companion.

THE BUILD

The Tripper features a robust drop point blade, ideal for precision tasks and general use around camp. The straight edge provides excellent control for cutting and carving, while its versatility makes it suitable for rescue operations when needed. The 3.25" blade meets Maine IF&W regulations for whitewater guides.

Constructed with indestructible G10 handle scales, rough finished for superior grip even when wet, The Tripper's handle is ergonomic and easy to index. A single finger groove enhances retention during high-stress situations. The ultra-thin handle scales reduce bulk, making it comfortable to wear on a PFD. Each handle includes a lanyard hole for added security.

The blade steel is high-quality, professionally heat-treated 440-C stainless steel, requiring minimal maintenance. The .156” thick steel ensures durability, while the flat grind creates an excellent cutting profile for any task.

MOUNTING YOUR KNIFE

Our versatile sheath system can be mounted in a variety of ways. Fasten the sheath to any standard 1" PFD lash tab using the accessory lash tab clip (sold separately). Or, using paracord (supplied with every knife), zip ties or any other preferred method, you can easily fasten the sheath to a shoulder strap or safe location on your PFD in a variety of configurations by making use of the many attachment points.

Built to last.

HANDCRAFTED FROM EXPERIENCE

Every knife and sheath is hand made in a small shop in Maine with care. Many hours have been poured into each blade along with a decade of experience guiding and paddling Maine rivers. Your support is greatly appreciated. This is your do-all multi day adventure tool. River runner by day, camp chef by night. You’re going to love it.

This knife meets Maine IF&W requirements for Registered Whitewater Guides.

Awesome Knife

My husband was thrilled with this knife and the owner even exchanged the wrong knife for the right one. I ordered the wrong knife at first and with a phone call he was happy to help. I am so happy with this whole experience and would definitely order again.

Recommended purchase

This is a real knife. Not a mass produced “river knife”. Once I handled it I realized this is a life-long type knife. I like that it is very low profile while still feeling robust. It’s very sharp and feels secure in its sheath. When my rafting days are over, I could see still using this for camping and hunting.

Bling bling

Love my new knife! WAY more than I'd usually spend on such a thing, but the craftsmanship and customer service ultimately made it well worth the expense.
